Ruca: “We aim to show that we are raising our competitive levels”

Futsal Feijó/Metaseguros travel this Saturday, 17 October, to the Pavilhão Engº Santos e Castro, the Tapadinha, where they face Atlético CP at 17:00, in a matchday 4 fixture of the first phase of the Liga Feminina Placard.

Ruca, Futsal Feijó’s coach, talks about the break in play and what the team wants to show.

“After the break in the Liga Placard, we aim to show that we are raising our competitive levels and improving our performance compared with the opening matchdays. We had more time to prepare for this game and analyse the opponent, but we know the opposite is also true.”

As for the opponent, the coach points to what will be needed to counter Atlético CP.

“We expect to find a motivated opponent with a quality squad, so we will need great mutual support among everyone and to be very aggressive in defence. At the same time, finding the opponent’s weaker points could be the key to a positive result.”

On how to approach the game, Ruca returns to Feijó’s motto.

“We will be true to our motto, so we will fight for all 40 minutes of the game: be Feijó from the first second to the last.”

Feijó are looking for their first points of the season on the trip to the Tapadinha.
